How to Make Your Box Brownies “Fancy”
Its National Brownie Day today and UM, YUM brownies are one of my favorite desserts 😍. I knew that I just had to make some brownies today however I didn’t want to make just plan old brownies. Another one of my favorite things is Reese’s Cups so I wanted to make some brownies with Reese’s inside them. My mouth is watering just typing this!
So I cheated today by using a box mix of brownies because I was short on time. I used Betty Crocker mix aka the BEST brownie mix 😉. I just followed the directions from the box and made the brownies. Once I poured the batter into my glass pan, I took Reese’s minis (the unwrapped ones) and randomly popped them down into my batter. After I was done, I spread the batter over the Reese’s so they would be completely submerged and not stick out the top of the brownies. I then let the brownies bake at 350ºF for 45 minutes.
I chopped up some of the Reese’s while the brownies were baking, so I could spread them over the top. Something amazing happened when I began sprinkling the chopped up Reese’s on the brownies. These brownies were still hot so the Reese’s started to melt and create a melted chocolate coating on top 😍
These brownies were SO GOOD. My little sister doesn’t like peanut butter so she told me I ruined perfectly good brownies. However if you are NOT weird and do like peanut butter then you will love these. This is my first ever baking post and I really enjoyed it. Let me know if you would like to keep seeing them.
