Wedding Wednesday – We’re Married!

So (finally) on June 30, 2018, the best day ever happened! Bennett and I got married! After all of the planning and trying to finalize every last detail, the wedding day came and went way too quickly. It started with me waking up at 6AM. Which if you know me personally, you know this is absurd as I am a late sleeper. I woke up feeling super chill, not stressed or nervous at all, I just could not sleep! That morning, I ended up walking outside to where we were having our reception. I started putting decorations where they would need to go, to help my parents out with reception setup.

When I got back to the house that we stayed the night before, the fun started. All of my bridesmaids were at the house. We ate brunch together, and then started getting ready. It was a fun-filled day full of getting makeup and hair done with my girls. My photographer and her assistant arrived and started snapping pics. We got tons of great pictures that I can’t wait to share with y’all! I will be posting a few more Wedding Wednesday posts that include different details from our wedding. So be on the lookout for those 😉

Throughout the entire day, I was incredibly calm. Never once did I get nervous, why be nervous?? This was the day I was marrying my best friend. I had been ready to marry Bennett for years! Leading up to the ceremony, and my dad walking me down the aisle, I was not stressed or anxious. The entire day I felt an amazing peacefulness and calmness. The day went by very quickly and sadly, I don’t remember a lot of the details. However I do remember that SO much had happened before the wedding ceremony, it was hard to believe we hadn’t even gotten married yet!

The ceremony was beautiful and perfect. Bennett’s Uncle Stuart married us and kept it sweet and personal, while still throwing in a few jokes. We had our best friends standing beside us, and our families there to witness. After the ceremony we walked over to the reception tent where we had a delicious dinner and slushee carts 😍 Then we danced for the next 3 hours straight! The ONLY regret I have from the entire day was not hiring a videographer. There are so many cool wedding videos that I have seen lately, and I am sad I won’t have one. BUT I do think my amazing pictures make up for it so I won’t lose any sleep over that.

Bennett and I have been married a little over a month now. We spent an amazing week in the Dominican Republic on our honeymoon. And now we have been settling back home in our cozy apartment and adjusting to married life. Bennett started football camp this week so I don’t see him as much. However I must say that living in the same space makes it so much easier, knowing that he is coming home to me every night. Being married is such a gift already. I am beyond excited to live out my life with Bennett as my husband!
