Hot Or Not – Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Brushes Eyeshadow Palette

This beauty post has been a long time coming. I am just going to go ahead and say that this eyeshadow palette is something you don’t want to miss out on. The Jaclyn Hill collaboration with Morphe Brushes has to be my FAVORITE eyeshadow palette to date. From the color range, to the pigmentation, to the presentation, I just love it all. Of course you already know that I did a review of this palette on my Sisterhood of Beauty youtube channel, and I will link that below if you want to watch!

I noticed a few things when I first received the palette. One of the first was that the packaging was white, instead of the traditional black plastic component that Morphe shadows usually come in. I also noticed that there was a little note from Jaclyn Hill inside the lid of the palette. There was no mirror, which is common for Morphe palettes, and there was the same amount of shades as a normal Morphe palette.

There was a ton of hype when this palette came out regarding the formula of the shadows and if they were different from the normal formula. To be completely honest with you, I couldn’t tell a difference in formula when swatching or blending but thats just my own opinion. I think Morphe already has a pretty good formula thats blend-able and buildable, so it wasn’t a problem that the formula felt the same. In my youtube video, I did not include swatches. However, I did want to include some for those who do not have the palette and want to know what all of the colors look like. The pictures below are unedited swatches of the colors in the order they appear in the palette. This is the first Morphe palette that includes shadow names so I will list those under each photo!

As I said before, these swatch photos are unedited. I wanted y’all to be able to see the colors as honestly as I could show them through my camera. I did the swatches with my finger and only swiped my finger one time directly from the pan.

My End Thoughts

I would be lying if I told you I never use this palette. Although a lot of the colors are different and not usual for an eyeshadow palette, I find myself reaching for this palette most days when doing my makeup. I love the wide range of colors both matte and metallic, as well as the versatility that this palette offers. The colors build and blend wonderfully on the eyelid and I am so excited to continue creating looks with it! I am sure you have been able to gather so far but if not I will tell you directly, this palette is HOT! As of right now, the palette is not available on the Morphe Brushes website. However they will be restocking soon and I would recommend going and grabbing one up when they do 😁
